I will connect them separately on the motherboard.īest airflow would be matching the cpu fan and run it on the cpu-sensor. But could be due to both runs on same power cable like my case fans did. 1500 rpm, (300-1500rpm)īut I didn't like the sound of the NF-A15 either. Or maybe go for a NF-A15 to match the NH-D15 cooler and its dual NF-A15 to get the "same flow" thru the cooler and out of the case? I can mount it since it's 150x140mm and I have enough extra space on the height. Tempted to replace the rear with a Silent Wings 3.Ĭurious is I would loose airflow on low rpm compared to Noctua. So I messed up and replace those who still make sounds. I later on discovered that these fans make low clicking noise if you connect several on same power cable and run low rpm. It shouldn't be vibrations, I used Noctuas rubber-studs instead of screws.Ĭould be motor-noise, or the fact that I got upset and put my finger in it several times lol. I appreciate your thoughts about the wing designs. I replaced the SP140L's on my Corsair H115i with SW3 PWM fans and could not pull enough air through the front filters to adequitely cool the radiator. The SW3's do not produce a lot of static pressure, so you cannot expect them to perform well against a filtered intake.
#BEQUIET SILENT WINGS 3 SOFTWARE#
Most aftermarket motherboards will have some sort of fan control, and for those that don't, a software solution is usually around. DC (non-PWM) simply works by varying the voltage the motor sees.ĭepnding on the MB, you may or may not be able to change the fan speed. it's always a solid 12v when the circuit is closed, but depending on the pulse width (time between on/off) the fan speed will change. PWM (pulse Width Modulation) works by varying the duration of 12v power. Should I ? Any reason why not or any commets feedback is appreciated
so 5 total fans.Ībout to order 5 of those. I want to use them for my h100i v2 cooler, and for my 2 front fans, and 1 rear fan. Will I be able to change fan speed in the bios with these fans ?Īnything else I have to know before purchasing ? I want silent fans, with average-good performance. Is it that no PWM the fan always run at the same speed ? Question : What is the difference between PWM and no PWM ?
